Swim lessons
Last week, Eric started his first swim lessons without a parent in the water with him. He was apprehensive at first but once he got started had a lot of fun. Then he got time in the splash zone and water slide after the lessons.

MLK weekend
For the holiday weekend, Farmor and Farfar came down to visit us in VB. Saturday, was quite busy - Eric attended two birthday parties. The first was a super hero themed obstacle course at the VB field house. Eric decided to be Thor - how fitting for the Swedican. The second was at Funville and the theme was Paw Patrol (which included a visit from Marshall). We spent the rest of the time at Mt Trashmore and hanging out. Good long weekend!

5 months and 5 days
Sorry Zach, this post comes 5 days after your 5th month birthday #secondkidproblems...our sweet boy has mastered rolling, hates bouncy seats and has transitioned (almost) to the jump-a-roo, started solids (and loves food), talks up a storm, still loves watching his brother, is in 9-12 month clothing, and has finally moved into his own room.

Snow
Today, Hampton Roads has been hit with a big snowstorm. Unfortunately it is really icy snow with high winds...not ideal for playing in the snow. We ventured out this morning but stayed close to the house due to the wind. It was also baby's first snow! Zach wore the same snow suit as Eric and Freddie before him. Eric helped Christian shovel and he built a snowman with the neighborhood kids.

Sweet potato for our sweetie
Yesterday, Zach tried solids for the first time. We gave him sweet potato and he loved it. He was just like a baby bird - opening up his mouth for the next bite.
Ringing in 2016
2016 has brought us so many blessings and great memories. The best has to be the birth of our sweet Zach!! Here's to a great 2017!
Fun week with MJ and Poppi
This past week we spent at MJ and Poppi's house. We had a lot of fun building Legos, setting up cones, gathering stick piles, and catching up with Cville friends!
