Eric turns THREE!!

Three years ago today, I went into labor and our sweet boy was born the next day on 4/28!  Hard to believe he's our big 3 year old.
Last weekend, we celebrated his birthday, construction style! Everyone got a hard hat and we turned our dinning room into a construction site (including diggers on his cake). We had a great time grilling out, playing cornhole and using his new toys. Happy birthday, Eric!!

A new boo boo

Today, Eric ran into another friend at his school and walked away with a pretty big gash above his eyebrow. Fortunately, Christian had the day off and we took him to urgent care for stitches. He was such a brave boy!! No crying during the stitches - he just wanted to be able to see his videos. I hear chicks dig scars...

Zoo animals

Yesterday, we went to the zoo with our friends Mason and Julie. We saw the newest addition, the cheetahs, Richie and Hannah. We also found two cute animals sitting on a turtle!

Fun filled weekend

This weekend Daddy had to work a 30 hour shift, so we planned a lot of fun activities to keep us busy. Saturday morning we went to Lowes and measured everything before making our one purchase (a curtain rod). Future engineer?? Then we looked for a dresser for Eric's room. For an afternoon play date and dinner we had our friends Julie and Mason over. Then Sunday morning we got up in the cold and did a 5K at the beach (we walked about 2 miles) for charity with our friends Natalie, Ayla and Pete. Then we played on the beach until we got too cold (still waiting for spring!).

DC Easter!

This past Easter weekend went traveled up to DC to celebrate the holiday. Uncle Hans and Charlotte came in from
Europe to celebrate so we were all together! We got to see the famous cherry blossoms, did an egg hunt and had a lot of fun!

Cute Eric things

Today Eric's daycare was closed, so Christian and I split the day and each took a half day of vacation. Mr. Eric did some really cute things today.
1) he asked to see the baby and then said "good morning brother! How did you sleep?"
2) he took out literally every toy and then turned to me and said "looks it's beautiful, mommy!"
3) we went for a walk and he sat and watched a non-moving crane for about 20 minutes #constructionobsessed

MJ and Poppi come down to visit us and we celebrated mommy's birthday a little early. We had a great weekend and got to check out a favorite local spot!
