Farmor comes to visit

This past weekend, Farmor came down to VB to visit us. We had a great time catching up, baking, going to the train museum, decorating baby Mac 'n Cheese's room, eating at a Swedish restaurant and going to the beach (in the rain!). Thanks for coming down!!

First Trip to the Dentist

Yesterday, Eric and I went to the dentist for his first trip there. I wasn't sure what he would think, but he was an absolute champ! He flirted with the receptionist, made friends with the dental hygienist, and didn't complain once about his teeth cleaning or the X-rays! I was so proud! Of course, he has two cavities but I will take the victory of a happy visit. 

Mother's Day in Cville

This past Mother's Day weekend, Eric and I traveled to Charlottesville to spend time with MJ, Poppi, SueSue, Kevin and Betsy. Before we headed out of town, Eric hosted me for a Mother's Day tea at his school. We had a great time catching up, helping with a yard sale, taking walks to a construction site, and watching the derby!

Trucks & More TRUCKS! Plus weekend things

Yesterday, Eric and I headed to a local charity event called "Touch a Truck."  Basically a 3 year old boy's dream -- every type of rescue vehicle and big truck possible all in one place!! Eric rang a police siren (and loved it), operated a tow truck (and loved it), pulled the horn on a tractor trailer (and really loved it) and sat in every truck there about 3 times each. 

On Sunday, we went to buy Eric his big boy dresser. While I looked, our engineer set up a train in the store.

And then later in the day, we went to the library to pick out a book on spiders 🕷

Eric turns THREE!!

Three years ago today, I went into labor and our sweet boy was born the next day on 4/28!  Hard to believe he's our big 3 year old. 

Last weekend, we celebrated his birthday, construction style! Everyone got a hard hat and we turned our dinning room into a construction site (including diggers on his cake). We had a great time grilling out, playing cornhole and using his new toys. Happy birthday, Eric!!

A new boo boo

Today, Eric ran into another friend at his school and walked away with a pretty big gash above his eyebrow. Fortunately, Christian had the day off and we took him to urgent care for stitches. He was such a brave boy!! No crying during the stitches - he just wanted to be able to see his videos. I hear chicks dig scars...

Zoo animals

Yesterday, we went to the zoo with our friends Mason and Julie. We saw the newest addition, the cheetahs, Richie and Hannah. We also found two cute animals sitting on a turtle!
