Eric Makes the Pizza

Tonight, Eric made us dinner!  We got individual pizzas and added our own toppings. He loved the assembly and the pizza seemed to taste sweeter to him. He was quite a proud toddler (it kept him busy :)!

MJ and Big Poppi came down for the weekend to celebrate Mommy's birthday. Although 2 out of the 5 of us were sick, we had a great weekend and appreciated the support from MJ and Big Poppi. Here's our family birthday selfie:

The Boys

I had to travel for work and so it was just Eric and his daddy for a couple days. The boys got to hang out at the park, blow bubbles, amongst other manly things. 

Toddler in Control

Eric is definitely in control these days...as is evident by this photo from tonight's dinner - not only did he refuse to eat at the table but he insisted on sitting on dad. Eric did remember however, to say "cheese" and smile for the photo.

Big Boy Bed

After lowering the crib as far as we could (i.e. drilling new holes ourselves), Mr. E was still able to scale the crib walls and climb out...so it was finally time to switch him to a toddler bed. Christian spent most of Saturday morning "toddler proofing" Eric's room and converting his crib to a toddler bed. To entice him, Eric and I bought picked out a new stuffed toy, Thomas the train.  

When bed time rolled around we revealed his new bed and he jumped right in and said and waved "bye bye" to us. Of course it wasn't quite as easy when it was time to actually go to sleep. But after some crying and knocking on the door, Eric did put himself back in his bed and fell asleep. We were very proud of our big boy :).

Farmor Helps Out

Eric came down with a cold and VB was forecasted to get 12 inches of snow, so Eric's Farmor came down to watch Eric.  They had a lot of fun together coloring, blowing bubbles, baking, cleaning...and fortunately we only got 5 inches of snow!
